As well as being passionate about urban greening and re-introducing nature to the cities, we feel it is time to give back to not just the planet, but the people in need too. This is why ANS is increasing it's focus on supporting organisations such as RRT and MacMillan. Starting off small, you can expect to see this page grow as we increase our support to other charities - so watch this space!
Macmillan Cancer Support
This piece of Moss Art was sold in an auction to raise money for this worthy charity. Founded in 1911, it has up until now supported and advised those affected by cancer, whether it be those diagnosed, or family or friends. Well known for the cake mornings which companies and organisations around the globe take up with enthusiasm, we hope to support Macmillan more fully in the future (cake or no cake!).
Rapid Relief Team
Since this organisation was established, ANS Global have donated to their cause. Established in 2013, RRT started off on the basis of Community, Compassion and Support - their 3 core values. Now working world-wide, RRT volunteers offer a helping hand to those in need. Over time, they have concentrated their support efforts into four key areas: youth, emergency services, homelessness, health and disability.
We supported a group of employees from Brookfield Multiplex who completed the Deloitte Ride Across Britain challenge - cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. They cycled over 960 miles in 9 days, with the longest day being 126 miles, invloving 6,000 feet of climbing! This group were raising funds for the Willow Foundation, who organise 'special days for seriously ill young adults'. Inspired by their daughter whose spirit during her years of battling with cancer greatly affected those close to her, Bob and Megs Wilson went on to found the Willow Foundation.
