Green Roof Case Study

Bermondsey Works Development

300m² +
12+ weeks
Client background:

Bermondsey Works is a new landmark development by Telford Homes, which is a collection of apartments, penthouses and villas with surrounding views of London's iconic skyline.  Architects Standerwick Land Design designed this extensive roof garden to provide an area where residents could interact and meet to create a greater sense of community.  This concept involved bespoke seating, play features, artificial grass and natural garden areas.

Scope of works:

ANS supplied Valley Provincial, who were completing the landscaping of the roof garden on this project.  Due to the size and nature of the project, we supplied the green roof materials in stages from the end of 2016-2017 using our original FabriGrufe Green Roof System (since developed to shape the ANS GrufeKit Green Roof System of today!) .  Over 435m2 of wildflower turf was installed on this roof to create a beautiful biodiverse wildflower garden. All the landscaping elements work well together to form an oasis in the city for the residents of this development.
