Client background:

WHR Property Consultants is one of the leading independent commercial property consultants in the UK. WHR works with a wide range of properties, from a small office accommodation through to large industrial development schemes. They maintain a reputation for customer satisfaction through a professional management team who ensure that their philosophy of customer care is delivered.

Scope of works:

ANS Global was delighted to be approached by WHR to construct a living wall at the Prestatyn Shopping Centre in North Wales; this contributed towards the “Wales in Bloom” award. Our task was to install two free standing external living walls (instead of a traditional timber fence) meant to enhance the area between the shopping mall and the service yard / goods in entrance. Not only did it make the shopping mall very attractive, it made it a very desirable place for members of the public to congregate whilst enjoying a coffee. A striped design was chosen to incorporate plant species such as Carex “Frosted Curls”, Heuchera “Palace Purple” and Lavandula angustifolia “Hidcote,” all meant to add colour and seasonal interest. Due to the ease of access at this shopping park, the installation only took four days. The Wales in Bloom judge announced that Prestatyn had won a GOLD award.
