Biodiversity Webinar Content Library
Since the very start of our webinar series in April, we’ve noticed the popularity for sessions focusing on ecology and biodiversity in green infrastructure grow, making the topic the most popular over all three series. We also noticed greater interaction with sessions relating to green areas in our cities, and how we can increase urban greening in areas where space for traditional landscaping is scarce.
It seems reasonable to correlate this increase in interest and the desire to look for solutions with the restrictions of lockdown.
Whilst before taking our freedom of movement for granted, once restrictions were in place preventing access to green spaces we very much felt the need for nature closer to home.
These experiences through lockdown have made us all more aware of the importance of greenery in our urban spaces.
Clearly this is an important topic so we’ve created a webinar content library of the most popular webinars throughout the three series, focusing on urban biodiversity and ecology in green infrastructure and architectural design.
This library holds 6 of our most popular sessions, featuring two professionals: Dr Juliet Staples, Liverpool’s Senior Project Manager of the worldwide URBAN GreenUP Scheme, and Ashley Welch, AECOM’s GI (green infrastructure) and biodiversity specialist.
Here's what's included:
A Scientific Approach to Urban Greening feat. Dr Juliet Staples
Improving Urban Biodiversity and Ecology with Green Infrastructure
Understanding The Value of Biodiverse Landscapes feat. Ashley Welch
Maximising a Living Wall for Biodiversity
Finding Opportunities Within Plant Design + Selection
An Introduction to Policy, Planning and Property Value with Green Infrastructure
